If he did buy "GT IV" then it's a very clean example that has been well kept.

Thanks for replies, guys.
Live in Western Suburbs, Brisbane approx 15k's from city.
Yep. It is "GTIV" from SA. Paid $17K for it. Enjoyed drive back from Adelaide via Sydney. Car performed faultlessly.
It's indeed immaculate, inside and out. Boot and rear seats look like never used. It's been VERY well cared for by its previous 2 owners.
First owner was head of service for one of Toyota dealers in Adelaide. Then bought by 2nd owner approx 8 years ago with 56,000k on clock. When I bought it, it had 126,500k on it. He sold for genuine reason. He's bought a '98 Dark Blue Porsche 996 Turbo (in absloutely pristine condition, too) !!
Spares it came with were
original wheels and wheel nuts/lock nuts, springs, airbox and filter, chip plus 4 brand new plat plugs, radiator & heater hoses, belts and various odds and sods.
Car has been serviced every 3 months (ie apprx every 3,000k's). All paper work incl. original delivery dockets, spares purchases etc. Log book fully stamped. Had cam belt and all seals done mid this year.
Work done on it by prev owner/s incl 3" stainless exhaust, ROH wheels (15X7) with 225/50 x 15 Yokohamas, performance chip, lowered and uprated shocks, K&N pod filter. Also has GReddy turbo timer, boost gauge integrated into dash where the ashtray used to be (no ones ever smoked in this car !), top end Pioneer with six stacker.
Had a 4 wheel alignment done yesterday (it was out on all 4 wheels. Had it properly set up by guy I know who has an ST165). Gave me opportunity to get under car to verify it's straight as.

That is bloody Great Steve, Wonderful to hear you are loving the car, and it sounds like its in immaculate condition.

Would love to come check it out sometime, or on the cruise that is coming up if you are thinking about going? i will be for sure. Im at cannon hill.

Where abouts did you get the wheel alignment done? i am up for one also, but these blokes i went to last time, they couldnt find my car in the database so they set it to 97 ZR celica alignment. :squint:

So if you could PM this dude that has the ST165, he should know the correct aligment for ours cars too i presume.

We should do a photoshoot sometime with our cars, Gary has a red Group A, I have a White one, now you have a black one. :chuckles: :laugh2: B)

Thanks M8.
Please post pics from Carsales. I'll get you some others when I get around to it.
Thanks for link, too. I'd been searching everywhere for that tracking spreadsheet. I'd seen it (but couldn't remember where) during my searches over past months for info on GT4 GrpA's.

Sikx5,
Thanks for reply. Will catch up with you soon (perhaps on cruise on 5th Nov ?).
The place where I got alignment done was Beaurepaires at Indooroopilly. The guy I know is Manager of store (Eric) and fellow member of Toyota Car Club Qld. As said he has an immaculate ST165, himself and is an enthusiast.
Please mention I recommended them to you as you may get a bit more TLC. BTW I'd recommend you join Toyota Car Club (costs $38/year) as you get lotsa discounts on gen Toyota spares, Fulcrum Suspension, Beaurepaires (Aust wide) etc plus monthly news mag and great bunch of members.
There's not much camber adjustment in front end and my car has been lowered. I
He suggested i look at getting a camber kit for top of struts so that the front end can be made fully adjustable. Will look at this soon.
cheers
Steve

Thanks for that info Steve, I dont know of many GT4 specialists in QLD. Great to meet some. I will defintley check out the wheel alignment and speak with Eric, Thanks alot for that. Where do you go to join up to the Toyota Car Club? I would love to join. I am running a mix and match suspension at the moment, the rear is koni inserts with blue lovell lowered springs, while the front is TRD Gravel stage struts and springs as used by toyota in the actaullys rallys themself, its incredible stiff, and sits up really high. Looking foward to meeting you, hopefully we see Gary on the cruise, as i have not spoken to him a long time, hes pretty busy.

sikx5 (Shane),
Toyota car Club meets at Motorama 4x4 1st Tuesday every month (starts 7.30pm; next one 1st Nov.). Visitors welcomed.

Membership forms can be obtained from the President, Stefan Bantick; his addy is "stan794@yahoo.com" mob: 0410 066 618. I'll also print out some application forms and bring to cruise on 5th Nov.

BTW the Club (and any %'ed guests ?) is heading en masse to Noosa Hillclimb (to watch) on Sunday 13th Nov. Early start probably from Carseldine, Caltex. If anyone %'ed I'll post some details.
