Hey all,
I'm sorry to see a reduction in activity on ozcelica, I remember the days it was flourishing with posts.

Are there many 7th genners willing to bring up a bit of discussion amongst the 7th gen community? I feel i'm the only one hehe.

Oh btw i'm picking up my new car this week (a 7th gen) finally YAY.

Ah thats alright, I test drove my new car over the weekend (mind you it was very hot weather) and i couldn't feel LIFT come in as much as others I had driven in the past. I did see the tacho pick up a tiny bit after 6000rpm but it was only a very slight noise difference, maybe due to the heat the car might have gone into a limp mode.

I'll try it again on the way home this week.

The engine needs to be warmed up before hitting lift. Doesn't work first thing in the morning either

The strange thing was that it was quite a warm day and the coolant temperature was up all the way. This was after about 10 minutes of driving around I would say

any teasers/pics of the car you're getting?

LIFT activates when engine is hot and has reached 60 degree celsius... did find this info somewhere
i usually wait until the temperature needle moves up 2 bar before engaging LIFT

have the window down and CAI and you will hear LIFT beautifully

BTW: i check this site like several times a day... thats how bored i get

You can fill in the rest of the pic as its pretty much a stock SX 7th gen haha. But I still enjoy the fact that you are unable to see the whole picture haha. Thanks for the anticipation. I'm keen to join the ranks of the 7th gen owners.

Teaser shots.... hmmm.. How about this
Welcome to the forum junkieboi, got any pics of your ride yet?

Oh nice, I look forward to seeing pics. Sorry to hear about the damage, i'm sure its an easy fix.

A duraflex wide body kit does sound tasty indeed :)

Its hard to resist driving a car you enjoy though, better than it sitting in a garage locked up like an antique though hehe

Oh nice as, the kit looks fantastic. Makes me very jealous indeed.

I was wondering if the alluminium pedals pads from the ZR can be easily moved over to the SX model? Can anyone confirm for me if they are interchangable without drilling into the actual pedal itself?

It seems like the ZR pedal pads will actually fit, the allumium section attaches to a normal rubber boot, as a result you can slip one off, slip one on.

They are about $80 for the set new I believe. maybe some will come up second hand :)

zr and sx difference would be

abs brakes
sunroof
foglights
6 stack cd player
red trim seats / sx has blue
16" rims
door sills
alum
and maybe something i cannot remember/think of

what you want would be updated/facelift version parts (2003+). they have:
black interior (dash, door trims, boot trim etc)
new front bumper
new tail lights
chrome hatch handle
glass sunroof
and maybe some more

yo... is this the one i see driving around cabra area lately?
old owner lived in carrama?

the sunroof is a optional extra on the SX and can be a deleted option on the ZR
OH yeah... the cabin light is different if you have a sunroof (the switch and light etc)

I think you may find it would be cheaper to sell yours and buy one with a sunroof haha. The aftermarket ones are never as good as the originals.

They are a bit overated haha. On most cars they end up leaking and cause rust in the roof (even the stock ones). They take maintenance too to make sure that the drain rails (for the water) are clear. Otherwise moisture builds up.

I wouldn't feel that bad without a sunroof, mine doesn't have one and i'm glad lol

i seen other celica with rust in their sunroof
mine doesnt have any yet and i have been driving in the rain with my sunroof up LOL

the celica sunroof is good because it blocks out the glare from the sun!!!

this is the sunroof from underneath, blocks out the sun very well. that light you see is the sun. sunlight doesnt get in the cabin at all

- CAI
- Rims... bad been looking for a nice set of rims for awhile now.. quite hard to find the perfect off set.
- Fixing body damage
- Need a paint job
- TRD spoiler

i got a space black c-one replica hood scoop, has the regular scratches on em
havent used it for a long time ><
i got genuine trd bonnet spoilers but havent installed them
i still want a new set of genuine spoiler

for your car, since you got a wide body, you will may have to get custom made wheels with the offset you want or just get massive spacers
or get those 5X100 to 5X114.3 spacer converters and low offset rims, as they do makes loads of low offset for 5X114.3

I need a TRD spoiler for the back. i dont think i wanna get the bonnet spoiler.. not so sure about that yet.
im gonna order the Angel eye Headlight soon off ebay sometime next week or so.

HMm, speaking of which... i think i have seen ur red celica somewhere... cant remember but i think i have.. when i use to drive my blue 5th gen celica LOL.
