I may suggest getting the right wheel straight away as there are brands that would make new wheels in some very wide sizes. Those spacer converters i'm not too keen on, having 10 bolts holding your wheel on means 10 times the chance of failure haha. Considering that subaru do also use the 5x100 stud pattern your chances are a bit better.

I'm looking at a set of D1R Lenso wheels in 17x7 30-35+ offset in the future, these could be purchased in 8 and 8.5" as well (even 9")

the offset on the subaru are horrible dude
that are all high offset's
having subaru spec wheels on the celica will make it sunk even more
i find having hubcentric bolt on spacer is fine, it will take the load off the nuts

junkieboi, when did you buy the celica?
in the last 2 weeks, ive seen it twice, along cabramatta rd near hungry jacks and along the railway

I didn't know the butterfly valve made such a big difference to the sound. Could this be why the new car sounds so quiet hitting lift as a comparision to the other I test drove a few weeks ago?

First mod noted :)

Some Subarus might have run really wide wheels though (say for widebody wrx etc) maybe it might just fit.

I think this thread will do awesome. We can beat all the other threads hahaha

Yeh lift without butterfly is... like awesome!

Yeh i tried looking around subarus forum and searching about. the best one so far i found was a 17x8 +30 off set.. but sadly.. it was a 114.4 Stud ........

I can't wait to try it out. Can I ask if you could upload some photos of your ride? I'm really interested to see what it looks like. Even if it has damage thats ok

Thanks
Adrian

you will need something like ##X8 + 0 for a good offset on the wide body

my sunroof was factory fitted like anh's and yeah, the metal around the roof is rusting

i don't think the car will get written off, it's really just the roof that got hit
if the car gets written off ill sell the tails for around 300
as for the wing, i really can't be bothered taking it off, it's part of my policy anyway so they'll ask questions if i take it in with 4 holes in my boot

junkie, you know you want the bonnet spoiler :P

I think so too :) Its great to see so many 7th gens around on here.

It seems like I may need to wait till next Thursday to get my new ride, its going to be a very difficult and long wait. Its due to the Roadworthy place for the second check is not open till the 11th of January.

I'm very tempted to fit up those Caldina wheels to the ZZT231, the offset of +38 should hopefully get them sitting just in a bit from the edge of the guard lip. I would prefer to get +35 or even +30 but I didn't need hella flush, just something neat instead of the stockies

The other option is sell them and just grab a set of ZR's for that stock but neat look :)

That might be the better option me thinks :) Its great having a stock wheel. I'd be very tempted to investigate in some of those sportivo wheels eventually for that even more "stock/Aftermarket" feel haha

So anyone doing much on their 7th gen this weekend? Big Plans for their cars in the new year?

Well i kinda do.. if i got enough money to throw away.
Heres my list:
-Fixing body damage
-Getting TRD back spoiler
-c-1 Scoop to replace oem scoop
-Angel eye Headlight ( atm cant seem to find a RHD on ebay. :( )
-change Tail light
-Get injen CAI ( atm nto so sure cause of possible CEL appearing i hear from everyone - might stay stock box with the current K&N Filteri n it )
-Start Searching for a Dead ZR for accessorys and such
-need new Gas strut for the boot ( yeh i know i look like a douche holding my boot up LOL everytime i need to put something in it )
-Need to replace lift bolt.. When i first got hte car it was like WOOOO with lift.. now its like... baaammmmm quite.
-need to clean lift valves
-need to get new window tints 25% or staying stock 35%...
-Rims are gonna be pretty much the last thing i do cause i think i have to get custom made one or the one i want are costing quite alot 2 grand +++ then need sticky tires aswell =_='' need bling bling moneeey.

Well thats all i have in mind so far.

for this weekend i think imma surf about for the side fender, hopefully they will sell one piece only for half price.. dont need the passenger side -_- cause its still good as new over there.

the lift bolts cost $1.35 each and you will need 2 of them... so that $2.70!!!
it is best to change it with your next service or major.

my mechanic changed mine for me, but you gotta leave it with him for a long time as he needs to engine to cool down so he can start work on it

Something so cheap for so much work. I wish they charged $3 more for the car in the first place so no one would have this drama haha.

Its such a simple thing to wear away.

Big list of goodies junkieboi, i'm impressed :)

Can't wait to see it all done.

Quite heavy actually... I think they weigh in at around 18KG per wheel...
I bought some 17x7 wheels and they feel lighter than the stock zr rims.

i get my service done at my family mechanic which has been working on my car since i first bought it
the guy charges me less on everything...

a regular 5000km service, providing my own oil filter, i get charged 50-70 depending if he needs to do anything else
got my rear gas strut from him for $130 fitted... and such and such

I think the specs on the ZR wheels come up on newcelica.org as 18lb which should be about 10kg. Not too bad I suppose.

the wheels itself is like 10kg-ish, with tyres its 18kg-ish

my old lightweight 17X7 wheel with tyres were 18kg each
