Hey Guys,

I am coming into this thread really late, but I actually bought a used CT20B from a Gen II MR2 and then had it fully rebuilt by GCG.

I have not yet had the chance to see its full potential as I am still running stock ECU, Injectors and Fuel Pump.

It made 147kw at 4 wheels at about 16psi, so will be interesting to see what it does with an after market ECU, bigger Injectors and bigger Fuel Pump.

It has been rebuilt with...

GTX3071R billet compressor wheel

Larger Inconel turbine wheel

High flowed compressor and turbine housings

Turbosmart billet wastegate actuator

I live near 3 at the moment

Well 2 e85 and 1 Eflex

E85 gives way more power reliably

I dont want to push it too hard on 98. I would just love crazy spool and decent power

So the GTX2860 made 170awkw on 98

Ive been self tuning on E85 at 20 psi and she feels awesome to say the least, The response is there, Full boost around 3k maybe a smidge over but the throttle response is instantenous

The mamba gtx2860 goes very well!

I think you could go up in turbine housing size and achieve a bit more.

possibly and the compressor wheel size could get probably go a size bigger but why bother?

200awkw was the goal and I am there (I Think) The response is all I'm after and it's an awesome setup if your not looking for huge power and wanting to keep the standard cams

this amazes me at how poor my car was performing.

20psi boost gtx2867, haltech, gen 3 3sgte stock. 260awhp (198kw).

at that boost i should have been making way more power.

curious how you go with the E85 and 2860

I was at 17psi on 98 and i've upped it to 20 on e85 . I think im at the flow limit of the little disco spud

Thought the idea of the gtx was its more efficient at higher boost levels than the older gt.

Maybe need ext gate.

Thats it mate, The 11 blade wheels really like higher boost as thats where they step into their most efficient range,

Same as my turbo on my falcon, 11 blade wheel made more up top compared to the cast 6+6

Edit:

20 psi is already relatively high boost, I think the turbo does have more but I dont think the bottom end has it
