Gday fellow ozcelicas. it's been a while but its good to see this forum is still running strong.

ok, i've noticed this problem for a while now, and its slowly and gradually "dying" revs.

now, car - ST185 JDM. morning start; normal, good revs @850-900 -  after 3-4mins, car is warm, idles @100rpm. No stutter, No electrical cut-outs, No problem,

driving the car: speedo correct (when compared to GPS and google map app)

60km/h - revs @ 500 rpm

100km/h - revs @900-1000 rpm.

drive-wise, normal. temps good, boost good, no cut-outs, no stutter when stop - JUST NO REVS/IDLE?

Seeking Ozcelica's guru for their word of wisdom! cheers. Kev

Thinking that you need to clean out your throttle body .... the bleed air port from pre turbo to intake side of throttle body may be blocked up with gunk. :)

Is the engine actually idling at 100rpm, or is the tacho dying.

There are 2 capacitors in the Tacho that fail and cause these low readings.

^^As above

There is no way your car would be idling 1000rpm @ 100k/h, unless you now have an 8 speed gearbox. in which case, please tell me how....

^^ What the others have said that is Tacho...plus the fact our cars can't idle at all @ 100RPM doesn't make sense

My car has idled on cold start as low as 650rpm but now where near 100rpm and I fixed that by cleaning the TB.
