Looking to modify stock OEM headlights into something like Projector Halo headlights, since I heard that it's cheaper and better.

Something like these: http://www.ebay.com....=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

Does anyone know how to do this?

It's neither, the light output on those is worse than the stock projectors.

If you just want the look of halos then you can open them up and and put halos around the stock projectors but that's not an easy job. Also, if you are going through all that effort, you may as well upgrade the projectors to something designed for HID's (HID in stock halogen projectors vs. HID in actual HID projectors is a massive difference).

An easier way is to get OEM HID's from Japan, etc, but they're expensive. Great upgrade though, way better than stock. Also anything to do with lighting, you'll notice the difference immediately in something cheap like installing those eBay lights you linked compared to something proper (like I said, even the stock halogen projectors are way better than eBay ones).

Thanks ChocSoldier. I'll hold off this then - im quite fine with stock OEM, but read some HID conversion tends to fade unless used a proper HID projector.

I'll look into halo LED for some spice, otherwise saving money for coilovers and some body spats.

Do not buy those cheap crappy headlight units from ebay you'll regret it. They literally fall apart.

as choc said the only way to go is to pay $1000 or more for a set of OEM toyota celica HIDs from japan :P

Or you can do what I did and get some philips crystalvision headlight bulbs. They put out a white light instead of yellow. I love them! :)

Update: So decided to go with the manual modification. Planning to buy some eBay Halo LED RINGs (not sure if I need 80mm or 100mm rings) in white. Bought some 2nd OEM headlights, will be opening them and painting the inside black, and then I'll measure the ring size and order the LED rings.
I'll most likely look at attaching the ring by drilling 1-2mm holes, and using soldering wires to keep them in place OR epoxy (seems more ideal).

Wire them directly to the headlight through +ve and -ve in headlight unit i think.

Something like those as my final product (that was doen by Sunny Patel in US - off FB group Toyota Celica).

You should grab some phillips DiamondVision bulbs so you project a white light. :)

I have them on low beams and high beams. I love them :)

Can you tell me the exact high beams you bought? I bought some, but they would not fit in the oem hid lights I have.
