Hey Guys,

Does anyone know if the 3SGE and 3SGTE distributors are the same?

From what I can see...

3SGE part number is 19100-88363

3SGTE part number is 19100-88364

But I am also seeing a lot of cross over between other engines too, such as the 5SFE.

So yes, I am confused.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ignore above, not important now.

I have ordered a set of 1ZZ ignition cop's and will be running a COP set up.

You can still use the distributor as the cam and crank angle sensors or just the cam angle sensor.

My distributor is shot, for some weird reason it was still OK with the factory ECU, but the Haltech could not pick it up/

We found the shaft movement had worn down some magnets and was not rotating right.....still weird the factory ECU could handle it and the Haltech could not.

Anyway, today I have purchased...

4 x 1ZZ coil packs

4 x 1ZZ coil plug connectors

1 x Used 19100-88363 3SGE distributor (couldn't find a 19100-88364 3SGTE one - but this one looks identical and as I don't need it for spark, it should be OK)

So hopefully we can get it all pieced together and running by next week.

Just use the haltech base map.
I ran my 205 swap on the 185 base map for a bit. Boosted pretty good.

I've got a spare gen 2 dizzy if you want

Edit: just saw read the post again, you've ordered one already. Just check the resistance on each pins and check if you get the same similar values

I would hazard a guess that if you had have changed the voltage threshold values you would have got it to run but a new distributer is a good idea anyway.

All good, thanks for the offer. I still have checked if the 3SGE one I got will work.

How much do you want for the dizzy....might grab it just incase the one I got is no good.

Thanks for the tip on checking the resistance too, good idea.

Interesting. But yes, given the amount of play in mine I think changing it was best.
