Depending on what state you are in. Try pickles or fowels. A manual celica with a bit of a hit in the front will cost about 1000bucks. Then you gotta tow it home. You can find them for as cheap as 800.

If you're happy to travel, there was 2 on the OzCelica Facebook group, not sure if the seller still has them though.

Whats this thing about "Blue Slip"?

I just need the car for the engine and gearbox mainly. The rest I'll just sell off or use on my celica.

Basically just means it's been out of rego for too long and requires a more thorough inspection (pink slip is the yearly renewal one, blue slip is for new registrations/significant changes, e.g. engine swaps). Won't matter to you because you're not in NSW.

And in regards to the Facebook ones, they're $500 but auto unfortunately, and no idea about the condition of the engines or if still available. Front end accidents so no radiators, etc.

So when you say, "Won't matter to you because you're not in NSW.", does that mean i can purchase it and drive it to QLD? or have to renew it before driving? or get a tow truck or whatever and bring it up to Brisbane?

As for the Facebook ones, links or more info would be nice - kind of interested...

Sorry, I rarely check the forums anymore. And my assumption was in case you register them in Qld (but I don't think they look driveable etc in their current states anyway, would need to be towed.)
