So in QLD they let you have open pod and intercooler? as well as a BOV ?

BOV is plumback, Front mount is fine, and Pod filter has to be covered.

which means all i have to worry is about the Pod, but then again if u find some one on the down low everything is ok :D

heres some info on the bracket

Posted Image

so in the pic u can see the design has the holes pre drilled for the supercharger, but the mounting holes for alternator are not. you need to take the bracket to a shop along with ur alternator so they can line up the top tab weld it and drill a hole in the tab and line it up with the hole on the bottom, both holes MUST line up perfectly coz they bolt up the alternator. cost was 30bucks so its no big deal to get it done right

Posted Image

rotrex comes with its own bolts that hold it in place, i think there are 4-5 of them u can see the top 2 above.

Posted Image

This pic shows the tab part of the bracket that bolts through the engine mount for the alternator and the alternator itself.

Posted Image

this is the bottom bolt, hard to get to, but it bolts through the bottom of the alternator.

those are the only bolts holding the bracket in place. Once we bolted it up we found that the bracket could flex too much, so we added a extra peice to the top of the bracket which them bolts onto the top of the alternator. So basicly we have bolted the bracket to the alternator using all 3 orignal points.

ill get some more pics when the car is done of the bracket if u want.

but im guessing these are the last pics till the cars on the dyno getting tuned some time soon.

Excellent drawings and photos. Looks like very solid engineering.

From what I can see, it's a very clean and neat design. The BOV placement, piping etc. Excellent job.

Enjoy the extra powahhhh.

Does anyone else think that hte piping + pod make it look like there's a penis at teh front of hte car?

....shows what's always on my mind....

If you are going for a tune, you can do a few things before hand to minimise time with the tuner (and $$).

1) The standard PowerFC map needs drastic changes in order to work properly. Go to Newcelica, or Spyderchat, and ask one of the 2ZZ rotrex guys to send you their PowerFC map. You can then bring this map to your tuner, and ask him to load it as the base map to begin your tune on. This way, the fuel and ignition maps are close to the values that you should be at, and the tuner doesn't have to make big changes for it to work.

2) also read JesseIL's post in the ECU-Tuning section of NC, to understand what settings you should request from your tuner (such as changing the load points, Air Fuel Ratios etc)

3) Initialise the PowerFC. For the powerFC to idle the car properly, it needs to remap it's idle settings. You can use the rev/idle settings in the commander to set what you want your idle to be. Check with NC/SC to see what other ppl are running. Mine idles @ 800rpm after warmup. The initialisation process is basically starting the car, and leaving it to idle for 30 mins. First 10 mins is with no electrics on. 2nd 10 mins with electrics on, and last 10 mins with a/c and lights on. Check the manual, or NC/SC to see exactly what hte process is.

Good luck with the tune!

^^ hahaha

yeah, thanks choung for checking up on my everyday and giving me lots of pics.

mmm today i installed the Power FC and the sard injectors... car started up first go so i was happy.

Idle lol idle well its rough at best the weirdness of it makes it sound bad ass though, but it defiantly needs smoothing out.

had to reverse my car a little today and i gotta say it sounds awesome, but id say its coz its not tuned, it sounds between rexy vs big v8 timing wise atleast.

other then that, i installed a boost gauge tried to test it out but im not sure if its really working properly ay.

at idle it makes -.5 bar, which i say yeh thats fine its got no boost, step on the gas a bit to get some revs needle jumps up to say 0 bar instantly so i though yeh thats good, but then i tried revving to 4000rpm and it was still 0bar.

im not game enough to try revving high i dont want to blow my engine, and im not entirely sure if u can see boost in neutral ?

If you push it hard enough in Neutral you can hit boost.. as in rev up to near redline..
but most of the time when you rev it just hits about 0psi because there isn't enough load on the motor.
